Wall Street is showing signs of renewed optimism as stock futures ticked upward Tuesday night, driven by a wave of corporate earnings and explosive growth from Elon Musk’s SpaceX. The aerospace company saw its shares jump roughly 8 percent after reporting a massive 161 percent increase in third-quarter revenue. Adding fuel to the fire, Musk revealed that SpaceX and Tesla have established special committees to explore a potential merger, a move that sent Tesla shares edging higher as well.

The positive momentum extended across the Pacific, where Asian markets staged a broad recovery led by technology stocks. In South Korea, the Kospi rebounded sharply while AI infrastructure provider Elice surged nearly 30 percent, erasing losses from a rocky debut. This rally suggests a return of confidence in artificial intelligence investments after weeks of skepticism regarding whether massive infrastructure spending would actually yield sustainable profits. Semiconductor giants like SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics also posted significant gains, mirroring a wider trend of tech resilience.

Back in the United States, the Dow Jones Industrial Average enjoyed a strong session boosted by 3M, which saw its shares climb more than 5 percent after raising its annual profit guidance. While some sectors remained volatile, including Netflix and Intuitive Surgical which both faced post-earnings dips, analysts suggest that overall valuation levels remain attractive heading into the end of the year. Goldman Sachs Research noted that despite geopolitical tensions and upcoming elections, solid earnings provide a necessary floor for equity prices.

Investors now turn their attention toward Wednesday’s slate of reports to see if the AI enthusiasm holds steady. All eyes are on Meta Platforms as it prepares to report figures following the launch of its newest AI model, Muse Wonder. With further results expected from IBM and Southwest Airlines, traders are looking for confirmation that the current growth trajectory is sustainable amidst fluctuating energy prices and mixed export data coming out of Japan.
