While frequently floated around by frustrated travelers on social media, child-free flights on a commercial carrier have largely remained at the level of a wild idea — with the rare exception for some European airlines testing making certain sections of the aircraft for families and others only for travelers above a certain age.
The legal framework in many countries would potentially prevent commercial airlines from filtering passengers in this way. Meanwhile, airlines themselves are not eager to weed out a large section of its customer based on the assumption that there is a large enough market of travelers willing to pay extra for child-free travel.
That being said, New York-based airline JetBlue Airways is running a special adults-only flight in partnership with cruise line Virgin Voyages that, since its launch in 2014, has been selling travelers exclusively adult cruises.

JetBlue and Virgin Voyages come together to launch adults-only flight and cruise package
The “Do Not Disturb: A Getaway Reserved for Grown-Ups” package includes a return flight from New York’s JFK airport to South Florida’s Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to embark on a four-night Caribbean cruise aboard Virgin Voyages’ new Brilliant Lady ship that was added to the cruise line’s fleet in 2025.
As the cruise is adults-only, the flight that will be chartered especially for the vacation package will also not include any children.
The entire package is built around the theme of adults-only fun and getting away from responsibilities in the party style with which Virgin cruises have become associated over the years: an in-flight toast, a welcome party with a “do not disturb cocktail” once aboard the ship, and the ability to party onboard the Brilliant Lady with other like-minded adults.

How to book the JetBlue and Virgin Voyages adults-only cruise
“The relaxation and service of a high-end Caribbean resort pair perfectly with the energy of a sophisticated Mediterranean day club,” JetBlue and Virgin Voyages write in the joint press release. “Turquoise waters, swaying palms and coastal chic vibes won’t be interrupted by cannonball contests or calls of ‘Marco Polo.'”
The cruise sets sail on March 4, 2027 and has been available for booking as of Oct. 21. Prices for the flight and four-day cruise start at $2,750 USD for a double-occupancy room for two adults.

The port stops are Florida’s Key West and Bimini in The Bahamas while the special sailing will be limited to 60 cabins sold on a first-come basis. Bimini is home to the Virgin Voyages beach club that the cruise line developed on the island as an on-land extension of the cruise line.
The child-free package is a special promotion that JetBlue is very unlikely to bring to other flights sold through its main airline. That said, the promotion is testing a new holiday format through its partnership with Virgin Voyages.
“People have wanted this kind of kid-free from takeoff to sail away for a long time, and now it actually exists,” Virgin Voyages CEO Nirmal Saverimuttu said in a statement.
